About Us

We are…

We are a society of key women educators from seventeen countries throughout North and Central America, Europe, and Japan. Chartered in 1929 when women could not gather for professional purposes, DKG’s name was modeled after sororities, but we are not a sorority. Times have changed since California joined the society in 1936, and so have our customs. The contemporary DKG chapter is a place for like-minded women educators to gather, work together, serve the community, gain leadership skills, grow personally and professionally, and enjoy camaraderie.

Our Mission

The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International promotes professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education.

Our Vision
