From our original founders who built a legacy of leadership and service, to today’s new generation of women educators carrying that vision forward, DKG California continues to honor its past while inspiring the future. Together, we connect across generations to strengthen education and empower women at every stage of their journey.
Founded in 1929 by Dr. Annie Webb Blanton and 11 pioneering women in Texas, DKG has grown into an international organization dedicated to advancing women in education and fostering professional excellence. These women developed our founding purposes still directing us today.
From our founding DKG California state president, Dr. Madilene Veverka (1936), to today’s leaders, we continue to inspire and empower women educators.
